About Tigrinum Splendens - Lily Bulbs (Tiger)

Lilium tigrinum

Seed Type Bulb
Plant Type Tiger

So exotic! This tiger lily is true to its name—its blooms are very tiger-like with their black-spotted orange petals. These lilies can grow up to 4 feet tall, with blooms spreading 5 to 6 inches across. When they're mature, you'll get 20 or 25 blossoms per stem! That's a lot of tiger! So easy to grow, and they'll come back year after year. Tiger lilies are great in borders and containers, and they'll add drama to your wildflower meadow. These tiger lilies are deer-resistant, and they're popular with butterflies and hummingbirds. Fun fact: in parts of Asia, tiger lily bulbs are used in cooking.
